This was the first idea for an illustration for the Stirato submission on the Zodiac sign of Cancer. I translated the word itself into Hebrew and then realised how that had NOTHING to do with the original idea so scrapped it. Still looks nice though I thought? Read the rest of this entry »
Some old work that is neither here nor there but should make it onto this web-page somewhere




For a short while I developed an obsession with the death of Buddy Holly. I found out that the plane he was in crashed in the same town a B-film musical called "The Music Man" was set. A story about a con-man who came to a town claiming to be a musician but was only selling instruments and had no musical talent. Subscequently the entire town learnt and became a musical sensation. Trippy. Below is the beginning stages of the idea that eventually became the 'Dogstar' canvas.
I experimented with the above title in my work. The image of Jesus over the toll-booth was sold at my degree show. The buyer still emails me now and again to see if I am dead yet, and so the photo being worth more. Thankfully I am not.
